hey guys, i have searched the site briefly on clutching but im not getting the right information or getting confused about it [confused] im wanting my sled to engage around 5000 rpm for a better launch. i have no idea really what i'm doing with clutching. so wondering what your opinons are for what i am looking at getting done?

try a heavier spring in the primary. Last guy I know that had 5k for engagement blew up his sled in less than 250 miles.

Buy a race manual

What is 5000rpm going to give you, spinning your track, I would think hook up is more important

You can bump your clickers up on your clutch, but you will lose HP by over reving

There is many ways to change your tuning to achieve what you want
Spring, arms, pins, ramps, the will all effect your clutching, and they all need to be in harmony to run properly

A race manual will help you
