We are starting to get towards that time of year in central New York. Trails have not opened yet, but we are starting to accumulate snow around here. We have got 1-3 inches in the southern hills of Oneida county and more cold temps and snow look to continue in the foreseeable future. It would be great to have some rideable snow opening day so let's hope. I usually ride sangerfield/bridgewater/ilion trails, but feel free to post what's going on in your area. As a side note, does anyone know when the trails open in New York, excluding tug hill?

the snow on southern tug hill is building up pretty good. it snowed all day today and we got about 5 to inches. however the ground is still not completely frozen so you have to be careful. in my area the trails open up on December 15, if there's enough snow that is. took these pictures today on a quick ride about 1/4 mile from my house, you can see the snow depth pretty good in them i think.

Yeah it looks like winter has pretty much taken full force around here. Saw 4 cars in the ditch on the way to work this morning coming towards syracuse.

Put 60 miles on today. Trails are smooth and flat for the most part, very little water, dirt, or grass. Excellent early season riding conditions. Southern Oneida county

Things are "ok" in the Vernon/Verona/Munnsville area. Very thin in spots (read:dirt) cuz the groomer went through and people didn't want for it to set up.

Over by the Marble Hill Inn there's a lot of bare spots from the throttle jockeys who have nothing better to do than spin their tracks and tear stuff up.

At least there's snow.

I went out today and theres a decent amount of snow out there. Temps are supposed to stay cold and more snow is on the way so it looks good for the next couple weeks.
