When testing compression is the engine hot, or cold, leave the other plugs in, or out, and should the gas be on, or off.

engine heat doesn't matter. The plugs have to come out cuz that's where you screw in the compression tester and the gas on or off doesn't matter.

You are supposed to have the kill switch off, and the throttle wide open, and pull the rope 3 to 5 times.

Do you need to have the plugs out of the cylinders that you are not testing.

pull the rope till it stops riseing, should be 3-5 times ya

be sure throttle is open, and ignition is off (if engine starts with throttle open, that's BAD)

generally I do it with engine cold, dunno if hot engine would interfere, but whatever, can't see it doing to much, other than burning you when your doing the test
