I have a 95 xlt sp. Just wondering what compression should be on this sled? I have 113-114-114 lbs is this ok? the sled has 6000 miles on it ? Or should I do a ring job?
thats ok. anything abouve 110 is good. if it gets down around 100 or 90 it needs rings. also if theres a big difference between the compression in each cyl. u should do them up. i wouldnt ring it yet
i was talking with a friend the other day who has the twin to your sled...i asked him what he had for miles on her. 9,000 !!!!! without ever havign the motor apart! pretty incredible i think. he bought the sled brand new. it's box stock, and he's not the type to ever tinker on it....dealer maintained since new.
just impressive i think!
well mine had 2500 on it when i bought. Now 6000 2 years later. Been to the dealer both yeard ofr preseason. I've had no problems shoet of needles and seats and some other stuff that has more to do with how i rides it.
