Hey man, no hard feelings. We are just expressing our opinions, which i believe are a little misleading when i was antissipating this professional extreme video. If this is an amature video than i think it was done very well indeed, however, if it was done professionally, then i think we were kind of expecting more with the title stating "Extreme quad video". Extreme to me is watching video's like "Sled Necks" and i think many of us on this forum have come to expect things like this.
The video was done nicely with some good wheelie action and soundtrack. Which quad are you on? Post more videos if you've got 'em!
LOL man...I was just playing. I don't really care about anything said on here...doesn't bother me.
I didn't post the original thread here and I didn't choose the title, but some would argue that this could be an "extreme quad video"...Just cause there are no jumps doesn't mean that it takes any less skill to do.
Yes, it's just a video I did up for fun, I hope it is obvious that it wasn't at all meant to be proffesional. The majority of the video is two days worth of footage that we shot, and the 2nd little video that I did (which is the one linked to on this site) was done with the extra footage from those two days, as well as some stuff I shot last winter and the winter before that I figured I'd throw on there.
The snowmobile crash was a buddy of mine...he launched off that jump a bunch of times without incident, and then that time the ski lifted before he hit the jump and made the sled start to roll in the air. Since the video was more directed towards quads, I opted just to put the crash shot up there.
I am on the 400ex is the vids. It's red in most shots and silver in some.
Like I said, I did this up with just a couple of friends that I usually ride with.
I also ride with a group called the CVBOYZ, and we are into much of the same (wheelies), as well as MX racing, and some stuff in the air. We are scraping up the funds to build an FMX ramp, which hopefully will be done soon. Not that you really care about any of thsi stuff, but we plan on releasing a full length video which is being handled by a production company out in Colorado.
A few of our members have been in some streetbike freestyle videos on their quads, and that is basically where all the wheelies came from.
So I've rambled enough I suppose...don't worry, I can handle the critisism. People like different things. I honestly have to admit that this is the first time I had seen/read anything negative, but I realize that you can't please everybody all of the time.
Hey Josh, I work with Ryan T and have heard a lot about this from him....good job on the vids!
I know from making digital videos myself that unless you have a professional camera with a "steady-mount" or one of those cameras that has image stabilazation (sp?) built into it, it is hard to make good looking video....keep up the good work anyway....we look forward to yous guys gettin on some sleds and putting together some sick video and posting next!
VTSheener...small world man. I have a tripod and I believe the camera has some sort of image stabilizer thing built in, but I haven't played around with it much. We haven't filmed for real yet so if we do the shots will be a lot better I'm sure. Also the low quality of the vid doesn't help much either...hehe...I had to upload it from home and I'm on dial up so 6mb was plenty big enough .
I have a sled also, but you probably won't see me do much on it because it's not really made for jumping (Mach Z 800). But I do hope to film some sled stuff this coming winter. The guy that dumped the arctic cat in that vid clip I did up is nuts, so I'm sure you guys would get a kick out of him.
Polaris XLTSP, it's no prob man...Even if you were expecting what it is and still thought it sucked it would be fine with me...I've gotten a good enough reaction overall to keep me from going into a deap depression over a little bit of critisism..hehe .
RMK-KING, what is your username on Bluetraxx? I just posted there for the first time last week or so, but somehow my post dissapeared along with some others. I reposted again today. Thanks for posting the vid, and I didn't think the title of your topic was missleading personally .
If you guys are bored, here are some of the others posts about the vids...
