Heading up to Munising Mi next weekend.I read that there is a curfew in town between 11pm-6am. Does this mean no riding at all thru town during these times or go extremely slow?? Thanks

Tvan, I'll be there next weekend too. Yes that is the ordinance, but from what I hear as long as your not ripping thru town they don't make a big deal of it. Talk to the owners of the motel/hotel your staying at. By the way if anybody needs a room there for next Sat.night and Sun. night, let me know. I have 2 different places booked . The room would be in Christmas just north of Munsining at the Pair-a-Dice Inn. http://www.exploringthenorth.com/pairadice/inn.html
Its a brand new pretty nice place. like $110 a night w/a 10% discount for AAA members. 2 queen beds in room.Let me know and I'll call and cancel and you can snap it up right after. Mess. me.

Just got back from Munising. Put 300 miles on. Trails in Grand Marais area were excellent and trails around Munising were whipped up. What can one expect with lots of traffic? Just great to be out!!!
Make reservations ahead of time. Should be able to get rooms for ~$50. We ended up paying $77 for a room at the Super 8 in Wetmore since it was the only room to be found. Check with Motel for ordinance, however I did read a sign that said something about being considerate with regards to noise and I seem to recall it being ok to go to motel, just not to be driving around town at the late night hours.
Have fun and be careful!!!

We made reservations a couple of weeks ago when they first started getting snow. Gonna be staying at the Terrace hotel. Trail head supposedly starts there. Will ask about ordinance. Know of a good place to watch the Superbowl game at??
Gonna be first ride of the year and am already losing sleep just thinking about it./snofan/../images/users/tvan/thumb.gif

I'll be at the Buckhorn resort, right down the street. Also have another friend that is 1st on the waiting list at the Terrace. He already has 500 miles on up there this year. Heres a place to watch the the game.It is about 5 miles away from Munising in Christmas.

Thats great that he got a room. I will be on a 2000 ZL600 and wife is on a 97 Jag 440. We wont be hard to spot cause both sleds have "sno-glos" on them. They are flourescent lights that are under the hood (shine thru openings) and under running boards. Will be up sat at 3pm check in time.
