No, most trails are on crown land.. however, many of the trails cross private property.. and the owners only permit snowmobile traffic.. not atv or dirt bikes.. usually you'll know it's private property because there will be a gate or a sign.. Many snowmobile trails are lost because of tresspassing in the off seasons..

There is talk on P.E.I. of opening up the Trans Canada Trail {railroad tracks} for ATV use in the spring and fall.

in ontario you better not be riding atvs and bikes on the trails! [:(!][:(!][:(!]

Private land owners will pull the right to use there property for snowmobile traffic because of damage/tresspassing caused by atvs and other off season traffic.. it's a common problem.. and it makes for less trails each year..

o ok, we dont have any of that around here, we have either no tressapassing for anything, or go where ever you want

thats the way it is here to. We might end up losing a trail or too next year but the clubs have already found and cut ways around them.
