Hey, I have a '91 safari (it blows). My electric start refuses to start in the cold. When it has run for a while it will work but in the morning when I need it most, it won't work... and suggestions?
Well if your able to pull start it but the electric start wont do the trick, it might have something to do w/the battery. My father has a 3 wheeler that he put an undersized battery in. When the engine is warm, or its during the summer...the electric start will start it. But if its during the winter and the engine is cold, the undersized battery just doesn't have enough cranking amps to start it. It will turn over and over untill the battery drains.
I would recomend finding out what the correct size battery is for your sled, then check to see if the one in your sled right now matches up w/ those specs. If it doesn't....its time for a new battery, or just get used to pull starting it.
