my friend has an 1976 john deere 340 liquifire, that he recently started to work on. he rebuilt the carbs, cleaned the air box, got a new coil. and a bunch of other stuff. so we get everything done and decide to start it up. we fill it with fluids, and pull a couple of times to get gas into the carbeurators. then it fires up and runs fine we think. we take it for a spin but it wouldnt move. we open up the hood and pulled the left plug out and it dies. we put it back into it and start it up again. then we removed the right plug and nothing happened. it sounded the same and still had no power. so for some reason the right side cylinder isnt getting spark and they left side is. there using the same coil also so i dont have a clue whats wrong.

swap plugs and try it again if that side now has spark then its a bad plug, if it still does not have spark then your wire from the single coil is bad, most single coils dont have removable wires therefor your going to have to get a whole new coil. Cheap 20 30 bucks

we did swap plugs so its not those. we also bought new plugs. the sad thing is it was a brand new coil to begin with.
