I have a 73 tnt, which when purchased has a heat shield around the pipe, it was coming loose and in roungh shape so i pulled part of it off. When i began doing this(quite a while ago) i noticed a dust from it in the air, so i put on my paint grade face mask, throughout the project i have used some care working with this becasue i was usure of the material, i used gloves always, and normally a mask if i was really distrupting anything, but not while handling it lightly(just removing and installing pipe). I am just wondering if anyone knows for sure that this is simply fiberglass or should seriously consider taking the whole pipe in somewhere and having it all removed?
thanks!

im pretty sure asbestos is a foamy fluffy substance, where this is clearly fiberglass as you can see by the strands but ive heard they sometimes coat it with vermiculite.
