im putting exvert drivers on my 2000 700 rmk and i got my drivers and everything ready to put back in but i cant get my drive shaft to go back in the location it goes, do u need to maybe remove my chain case or just take out the bearing in the chain case or are there any other ways to get it in ?

on that sled it takes only a couple minutes to remove the bearing. but the easiest is to have the sled on its side. then you can lay the track up in the tunnel. becareful not to bump against the seal. now with the track up in the tunnel you can lower the shaft into the seal and case. then pull it up into the other mount. have a buddy be ready to put a nut on the speedo drive end. that side will be up. once a nut is on you can lay the sled back down and put in your bearing.

Why? I've always just pulled the chaincase.
Less work, and if you loose any case shims then things won't be true any more

Bearing is held by a snap ring
