i got a 550 lc and thats fine for me but my son wants a first sled hes pretty big 5'11 230 i was wondering what a good first sled would be i think a 340 or 380 but now its 60os and 700s that kids are getiing for a first sled what would be a good choice

A 500 liqud seems to be about the right size for a beginer as they dont grow out of it right away. A 340 fan in my opinon just dosent have enough power to make it fun. I started on a 92 indy 500 efi when i was tweleve and last year I got a 96 indy 500 and this year i bought a 600 ho cfi by myself and not one of the sleds was bad its just newer is better

i agree with wilb a 500 is a good starter sled.given your sons weight i think a 340 woud b to small you should look for a 440 or 500 for him

thanks for the info i think a 440 or 500 is a great idea there are tons of them around for sale thaks again
