i have a 2000 xc-sp 440 (that years sno-cross sled) i recently swapped out the 440 engine and replaced it with an arctic cat 800 triple. trouble is the front shocks are seriously taxed by the extra weight of the larger engine. can the shocks be revalved? is their a stock shock from a big bore polaris sled (800 xcr??) that will fit my edge chassis? Or any aftermarket shocks that would fit the bill?

are you talking about the ride hieght?
if so shocks have no control over this.
maybe you need stiffer springs.
all shocks do is control jounce and rebound.
heavier vehciles require heavier springs.

You need stiffer springs. Go to your dealer and get the stiffest springs they have. Ones off a prox 700 or 800 should work if they fit the shocks.

thanks for the input. we have done some spring changes, but only the ones that would have been available for that model sled. I will look for around for some big block springs. would i need to get the shocks revalved also?
