So I bring in the garbage can to the garage today and I smell gas..
I investigate and there is fuel dripping out of the vent tube wrapped around the steering post!! :(
I filled up my tank (to the top) on the weekend.
Why would the fuel start to come out the tube now?? And why would it??
There is quite a bit of fuel down the side of the chassis/airbox now and in the bellypan.

Thoughts?

Thanks

Has the air pressure changed? Is the rear jacked up real high off the ground? Usually a temp change will push or pull fuel from the vent line.

hmmm.. it is on a stand to keep the track off the ground...been like that for over a week though.

It has gone from -2F to 20ish F since yesterday. But the garage kinda stays the same temp. Maybe the air pressure changed with the big swing in temps the last 12 hours.

don't want to have the gas come out while riding.. LOL... BOOM!

Agreed. Any time you fill a sled to the brim and jack it up it will do that.

how come they don't have the overflow going down to the bottom of the sled is there any reason?
