Hey everyone i'm new to snowmobiles and I have a few questions. I picked up a 03 rev 440x that has been trail converted with a fresh top end, fresh clutch, and rebuilt shocks. What are the main thinks I should check out, change, or replace before taking to the trails this winter. I will be riding Michigan trails with it. Thanks

check/replace depending on condition the following parts (if you know how):

-clean your carburetors
-clean your exhaust valves
-check you belt for frays/damaged or missing cogs, etc...
-replace your chaincase oil
-make sure all you gas lines are good, air lines, coolant lines, etc... (check for cracks, holes, etc...)
-check your carburetor/reed boots for cracking
-check your sliders
-check all your idle wheel bearings
-adjust your track to 1" of play (even on both sides) when the sled is off the ground
-check your drive axle cogs for wear or damage
-check your carbides

just off the top of my head. good luck.

Check your nun on that sled
To do this, tape a measuring tape and measure from the end of your ski look to the bolt in the middle of your rear idler wheel. Do this on both sides of your sled, if both measurements are the same, or very close. Your nun is fine (nun is the front cross member for the front shocks).
