THIS IS A WARNING THAT SNOWSQUALLS ARE IMMINENT OR OCCURRING IN
THESE REGIONS. MONITOR WEATHER CONDITIONS..LISTEN FOR UPDATED

==DISCUSSION==
VERY COLD ARCTIC AIR IS FLOODING THE GREAT LAKES AREA.

SNOW STREAMERS FORMED OVERNIGHT AND GAVE FLURRIES HEAVY AT TIMES.

AROUND 4.30 AM..SNOWSQUALLS WERE FORMING SOUTHEASTWARD OFF SOUTHERN
GEORGIAN BAY NEAR COLLINGWOOD AND A SECOND ONE OFF NORTHERN LAKE
HURON SOUTHEASTWARD NEAR PORT ELGIN.

SNOWSQUALLS WILL BEGIN THIS MORNING AS THE WINDS BECOME ALIGNED FROM
THE NORTHWEST AND INTENSIFY THIS AFTERNOON.

THE SQUALLS WILL FORM TODAY AND THEN SHIFT SLOWLY NORTHWARD DURING
THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS SPREADING SIGNIFICANT SNOWFALLS OVER A WIDE
AREA.

STRONG NORTHWEST WINDS OF 50 GUSTING TO 70 KM/H WILL RESULT IN
LOCALLY POOR VISIBILITY AND WHITEOUT CONDITIONS IN HEAVY SNOW AND
BLOWING SNOW.

SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 15 TO 30 OR MORE CENTIMETRES ARE LIKELY UNDER
PERSISTENT SQUALLS.

SNOWSQUALLS WILL LAST INTO THE WEEKEND SHIFTING GRADUALLY NORTHWARD
WITH TIME.
