How are you mounting handguards on your polaris. I,m talking about the models that have the hard molded plastic from one end to the other covering the handlebar completely. I would like to put a set on a 2002 xcsp700. Please show pics of yours if possible ! Thanks in advance !

take the cover off, put the hand guards on, then you can cut the plastic to fit around the mounts or you can buy a handlebar pad for around $15

Just put the hand guards on then a hole for them with a razor blade. The bar pad style looks a lot better to me

Please look closer at the pictures that I put up for you. It doesn't matter what's on the inside of the "blocks", the mounts go right next to your index finger on the bar. I've heard mixed reviews on the SPG handguards, consider just stick to the Powermadds'.

Like I said, I spent a lot of time on this one. I didn't want a corny looking steering block, so I knurled a piece of round stock and welded that onto the steering post, then just heated up a piece of 1/8" flat stock and wrapped that around the round stock.
