Nope on my 91 500 sp no leakage after rebuild. I used Cometic gaskets. Did you torque the bolts in the right order?

I just rebuilt my 92 polaris 500 SP and there is a slight coolant leak around the head. I used an aftermarket gasket kit and was wondering if anyone experienced this problem Vs. using OEM gaskets.

Proper torque sequence is critical, as is the correct amount of torque. The other thing i will mention, is a warped head. It doesnt take much to warp the aluminum in these engines. I took mine off of my old sled and had them shaved or lapped or whater...had them brough back to true flat...this solved my problem.
