I tapped into a constant hot wire next to the ignition. I don't think it's working properly because I hooked up the volt meter to the end of the plug and was not able to see voltage.. How do I properly test to see if the wire will work? Let me know!

Thanks,
Chad

Stick the positive lead of the voltmeter into the hole of the plug and make contact without touching the outer ring. Stick the negative lead on the outer ring around the hole. You should get a reading if wired properly.

A snowmobile is pulsing AC power. NOT DC power. Make sure you are testing for ac and not dc.

Well, it looks like you just answered your own question
I was able to test where i spliced the line in and it worked fine.. It did not work when testing the end of the plug..
The plug could be faulty
The cable could be broke inside
How about the ground?
I have hooked up several of these and if you have power and a good ground, it will work.
