IDK where you heard the iqr motor blows, maybe if they are not running 110 but i think it is a really nice ride, very tough, and very good build. Do not know much about the mxz.

Well, both sleds are nice sleds, strong, fast, 600cc torque, fairly reliable. Either of them is a good choice. Nothing really bad about them. Just dont get a 2008 Mxzx RS 600.

If I were gonna go with the mxz rs I would go with the consumer version that was made in 2009 with the consumer engine which I believe was the 600 etec. Both solid sleds though. However, I would also like to know what's wrong with the 2008?

ive heard that the iq's r very reliable and fast and made to drive hard being that its a race sled and r a very good sled. idk much about the mxz, but if u do get one of these sleds make sure u trail convert it, otherwise the 110 octane fuel will be way overprised.

Ok, 110 octane fuel goes for about $110 more for 45 gallons of fuel over pump gas.

the 2008 MXZX RS had weak rear suspension torque links, NUN, and bulkhead, as well as the track's are junk. Stay Away! (unless its had all 2009 updates, and is low miles).

the newer 600 models, dont need to be fully 'trail converted' the timing box has a switch to run pump fuel or race gas at the flip of a switch. The only things I guess you would want/need is large capacity gas tank, trail clutching/jetting and possibly add some idler wheels for better Hi-Fax life.

2007 was the first year for the BRP(Ski-Doo) MXZX RS (first came in the REV chassis with either 600h.o sdi or 800h.o Powertek).

2008 was the first year for the REV-XP chassis based MXZX 600RS (first year for REV-XP chassis based race sleds, but like I said, 2008's had some problems)

2009's had quite a few updates, and most of the bugs were worked out, nice sleds. (although cosmetically, not many changes were done 2008 to 2010).

There were NO consumer MXZ RS models available to the public in 2009, the only Mxz RS in 2009 was the MXZX 600RS race sled.

Then 2010's, solid sleds, run awesome.

The MXZX 600RS REV-XP based chassis replaced the 2007 REV MXZX 440LC **in 2008**)

In 2010, BRP had a snow-check only MXZ XRS (REV-XP chassis) with either the 600h.o E-tec or 800R (great motor IMO)

2011 brings yet another snow-check only REV-XP chassis based MXZ XRS with either the 600h.o E-tec or 800h.o E-tec.
