Hey everyone,
I have recently bought a xcr 600 a 96 and i had just bought a brand new quad this summer a 40 ex to be exact and i put about a grand worth of aftermarket crap on it and then i just sold it last week for 5500$ and i just bought from my cousin one another sled of his that he crashed for a grand! A 1999 XCR 800 which he totally crunched up the rear end when a car hit the rearend of it and threw it into a Concrete wall thank god he wasnt on it!! Well anyways the whole rear suspension is shot and the seat and the boards are done but the rest is in real real good condition the sled has 3900 miles on it. the motor is totally bone stock right now. What do you think i should do to it other than just fix the rearend to stock specs. I have about 5 grand to put into it and i wanna get it dont real quick so i can try it in the next snow if possible becuase if i can i might sell my 600 for prob 4 grand because it only has 1500 miles on it and a TON of aftermarket crap!! Thanx and tell me what ya think.

Find a 1999 XCR 800 chassis and drop the motor into it.

Triple Pipes, clutch kit tunnel extension unless you are a trail rider, studs, carbides, fox shocks all the way around. High compression domes, nitrous and a blower.

I think.... therefore I sled

eh im seein some duct tape and wire ties....

or u can just find a 340 chassis and drop in the 800, and make custom pipes out the hood..

Duct tape much like the force... it has a light side, a dark side.... and it holds the world together!

Sounds like you want it to be fast. I'd say put an extended tunnel and long track on, but that chassis is not the best for the mountains. If you mostly ride trails and lakes, put another Xtra-10 rear skid on, and wrap it with a 1" track and studs. It already has pipes, so add an aftermarket high-flow can (shave weight), V-Force reeds for more airflow at high RPM, billet domes, good clutching............maybe a roller secondary clutch. Have fun with it. Good luck!

Let it snow!

i dont see why they couldnt make the nitros and the blowers
since blowers are just made to speed the air intake and throttle .... and the nitros is just a simple nitros oxide sprayed into the cylinder heads with the gasoline.. that creates high heat output and may blow the engine or F up you manifold and pipes at least.. thats ok tho... u dont need an engine really... not like a necessity to snowmobiling or anything

Do they seriously make nitrous and blowers for sled or are ya just pullin my chain

They make a 2stroke nitrous kit for jet skiis they claim if used in small amounts it is not harmfull to the engine. In larger doses though it has been known to tweak a crank if it has not been welded.

I do not think a blower application would suit a sled. There is no accessory drive to steal power from. Go to a turbo if that is what you want.

Shit just go buy a bigger sled with the amount of money you have spent trying to make it non-stock it just aint worth it.
