The Light on my EFI box is flashing and it wont rev over 7000rpm!
its running verry rich!
it flashes one time and then three times
its a 91 polaris indy 650 RXL EFI!
HELP HELP HELP!

If you have the owners manual it tells you what the different flashing lights mean based on which ones blink and the pattern that they blink in. I would't ride it till you find out. I have the same sled with the manual so let me know if you have the manual and if not I'll take a look at it tonight.

I need spellcheck!

I need help I have no manual or any book at all yet!
one flash then three flashs! I need to order parts and get it fixed before it snows again!

One flash means - this is your sled.

One flash + 3 flashes means - This is your sled on drugs.

Hope you sort it out soon. Don't like to hear when a sled is down.

I dropped it off at forest lake motorsports.
they sell and service polaris so I hope they can fix it cheaply!

I am guessing that it is the throttle position sensor. I'll check the manual though. It is a real expensive fix to send it to a dealer to connect a loose wire.

I thought TPS just cause the way it acted.
Owe well, Ill find out how much it costs to fix. I need the power. 7000rpm was not enough!

Actually, it is the air pressure sensor. I had this problem with my 91 RXL a few years ago. It is the sensor on the side of the air box. On mine, the wires at the disconnect, on the harness side came out of the disconnect. I put them back in, and had the same problem again real soon. What I ended up doing, was to put the wire in to the connector, and then silicone the wires in place from behind. I never had a pro0blem with it again - except for the time that I forgot to connect it after I put the air box back in to place after replacing a fuel filter.

If its anything like Ford EFI, The "1" flash and the "3" flash is a code for 13. You would have to find out what the code is in a Polaris service manual.

Where's all the snow??? Grass is still green. :-(

My friend has a '01 F250 Turbo Diesel. He took it in to be inspected. The computer returned 6 codes the guy mechanic had no idea what they were. 1 is odd but 6 at one time! Had to contact Ford to figure wtf was going on... Damn Fords :)

To me theres nothin better than just plain old carbs. I do believe that ford programs failures into the computers. So that they can service them, and not some back yard mechanic. We have ford service vans at work and the check engine lights come on all the time, I swear they just hit a reset switch and charge ya a bunch of $$

Where's all the snow??? Grass is still green. :-(

I agree.....I own a LT1 myself in my camaro and that is one incredible engine.....I have slightly more realistic #'s though but still great. I am sitting around 300 hp and I get 27 mpg!! Also my 205 hp eclipse gets 37 mpg if I am nice to it! Incredible!

Add a LT4 hot cam kit with a 2400rpm stall if its an auto and get ZAPPCM.com do the programming and youll get 400hp with the stock heads!
I had a 96 Impala ss but the ex has it now!!!Girl with a 400hp supercar!

Ok I looked it up. Sorry I took so long but I read that you put it in the shop and then my wife dragged me xmas shopping last night. anyway the manual says its the air temp sensor. Thats if I read your post right. 1 long flash followed by 3 short flashes.

I need spellcheck!
