Help with the new sled?

488 Views 6 Replies 7 Participants Last post by  paulxlt
I just bought a 2001 XC 800 XP. Now my wife wants one of her own. NO PROBLEM THERE!!! However, I can't afford another brand new sled. She also wants a two up for the kids. Does anyone know of a good two up sled that won't break the $2000 dollar range? Is one better than the other? I would like her to be able to ride two and also be able to perform when she is riding by herself. Any suggetstions are welcome.

An older Indy Trail 2-up would make the price, but performance for one person is a little sluggish.
An older xlt touring might do the job.

Ride Polaris!
If you are looking for a Polaris, I would look for an XLT Touring, and older model in the 93-96 range. They ahve gotten very cheap over the years and would be perfect for hauling kids and solo riding.

Check into a Yamaha Venture, it's a good reliable, 2 up sled.
If you are looking for a Polaris, I'd say go for a Classic Touring or XLT touring. The classic is a 500 liquid.

They are good for touring, but that's about it.

I agree with them, an XLT Touring would be ok for haulin kids and some a$$.
There are also Grand Touring sleds out there with some miles, but are cheap and dependable.
