On the 2003 F7 EFI, is there a Felt lining? Is this only on the later models? Seems that the hood has heat protection where it is needed, but the sled I bought this summer had one with it. I know the guy I bought it from told me he wasn't sure how it went back on. Can somebody please help me with this?

None of my 03 firecat hoods had that felt thing,Never had a problem burning anything! My 04 sabercat had it though! I dont think you need it.

My 03 doesn't have the felt. I have the egg carton foam, and some aluminum foil. That's what it looks like anyway.
