Just bought a hot seat head for a 98 xc 700 are they worth it it claims 7 hp midrange and 5 top end.I didnt think it would help anything top end because of the compression being pumped up . It said sea level using 93 octane
don,t be so sure the compression is higher,i have never checked the cc,s of hsp head, but i know the slp head 0-3000 has less compression then stock, the big difference is the shape of the combustion chamber
before you switch them, take a wot blast for a couple seconds to see where your rpms are. then put the heads in, if the rpm goes up a little bit, than you gained something. on top end. mid range you might think it feels better, thats the only thing you can go by.
