looking for alittle help. 2000 sx700r... i believe faulty carb tors switch... I have to bypass to keep sled running... not sure what would cause this other then faulty switch as my throttle cable has plenty of play(it is set a tad looser then factory specs, about 4 MM)... i tried to turn the idle screw clockwise but the screw keeps turning and turning and i cant get the tors switch off.. i was gonna try to clean it up a bit with contact cleaner.. i hate to leave the tors disconnected. i let my sled idle alot when im not on it, and would hate for it to have stuck throttle and take off on me(unless its ok to put E-brake on at all times when im not on sled????) any info wuld be great..thanks

Don't know for sure on Yamaha's, but on Cats if you replace the little plastic bushings in the throttle where your thumb pushes it, it helps. On the Cats the sled won't run right when these bushings get worn, they loose contact with the connector. Check into this before spending alot of money.
