Any downfalls to the ProX as a trail riding suspension compared to the Xtra-12?

Any opinions on the ProX suspension welcome!

Prox is set up for rough trails, x-12 is set up for comfort.

I like the prox over the x-12. Loosen it up and it is not rough(03+ prox)

Not crazy about the x12 as in low snow it burn hyfax up fast.

the x-12 acutally has to much travel to it which causes the parts to wears out faster, a guy i know bought two new x-12 suspensions and rode with them once and took them back out, and went back to the x-10, prox is about the best all around suspension

That doesn't make any sense and is totally unfounded.

However, the Pro X suspension is probably superior to the XTRA-12. The XTRA-12 can be set up to give an exceptional ride, but requires a lot of tuning, and can cause a lot of headaches. By its design it is just inherently "not as good" as the Pro X.

The Xtra-12 when setup properly handles trail riding very well and can be adapted to run good all around with the proper ride in. But the pro-x suspension with clicker shocks can be setup to ride trails and the rough stuff in a matter of seconds. I'd take the pro-x suspension over just about everything else out there.
