how fast is your 600cc sled?

a buddy of mine has a 600 blade and it does 120
There is no way in my opinion a stock 600cc sled will do over 110mph. I would say to hit 106 - 110 mph you would need some good clutching.. Most do 95-105mph tops. Real mph not dream-o-meter.

Cheers
had the xlt speedo at 100, but the speedo's are never dead on. Id asume it was actually 95 or close.
ive had my zrt's speedo over 100 and i know it will go a little faster.

just checked a site that runs 1500ft. and 2000 ft. speedruns. these are from different races through the winter. some of these are the top speed for the 600 stock class for that day. and these are run on ice, not in snow.

yea the 600 blades run 120 on a lake i know that
Ya, i dunno how u guys get ur sleds to go 110+, my sled maxes out at 102MPH and thats with no wind and i've done clutch work. And I dont know of many 600's that can take me around where i live.
No one is getting their 600 to 120, 110 is even pushing it, come on guys put the pipe down.

not totally stock anyways.
^^^^ True but to get to 120 is going to take some serious mods.
the old 91 650 would just touch the other side of 100 on hard packed trails at -5 celceious.
thats holding it right on the bar, i thought it would melt it down holding it at 8300rpm but its still running...
my old 87 indy 600 has run between 110-115, but it is far from stock. runs improved stock in 1000ft. speedruns. think in 87 the 600 was about 90hp. mines at 140-145 hp. no longer trail rideable. ice only.
All the other Pol 600's I ride with (4 Edges 1 ProX) read right around 110 on the speedo when running on the lake, with actual speeds around 100mph. Local 660' drags we ranged from 82-86. Not great but that's coming straight off the trail. I agree not all 600's should not go much over 100 gps, but IMO my Gen II is just a freak of nature with the benefit of a skid that allows higher tops speeds than the Edge or Pro X's. OR HO's for that matter. Granted there is ALWAYS someone faster out there but I feel comfortable going up against any 600's. Still looking for someone to put me in my place..
blade snowmobile's will do 120. i guess you guys dont know what blade sleds are but if ou guys knew what they are you would know the do 120. fivehundred's will do 110 without studs. studs slow the sled way down.
The blade has a polaris engine. It isnt hitting 120. As stated before put the pipe down, especially if you think a 500 is going to hit 110. Guess you dont know what blade sleds are...

Good post![:)] I have seen a 2002 600cc triple Yamaha stay side by side with a 2004 700cc twin that did 109mph on the gps though. I know the Yamaha was clutched and geared for top end and lost by about 5 or 6 sled lengths off the line to the 700. The Yamaha did catch up and stay dead even with the 700 all the way down the lake for about a 4000ft run. Never did see the Yamaha on the gps but did see the 700 gps 109mph at its very best. I also saw a 1997 XCR 600 triple pipe pull a 103mph on the gps stock.

Cheers
These people making those 120mph+ 600's should start making 800s. If they did they would easily top 140.
the site i looked into, they also run a pro class. only 600 running 120+, in 2000ft. were open mod sleds. 121-124mph.
People need to realize when I say 120mph on my 600 it was on the speedo and I always state speedo or radar or whatever. Speedos are off, thats true. But they are accurate to each other I believe. My father and I have a viper, 600xcsp, 800xcr, and a 1990 mach1. All stock. When we lake race and compare top end speedo readings, they are damn close to how close the race was. If my XCR800 said 130mph and his viper said 115mph, 99% of the time I beat him by a distance that would be reasonable to going 15mph faster than him.

I'll tell this, that 2000 600xcsp has got it were it counts. It regularly beats up on non VES 700 and 800 polaris, a few ZL800, ZR600 (no problem), stays with 600 HO, never raced and F6, and beats the viper for top end.
