my sled has a 600 sticker on it..does that count? i'v had it going 120mph (dream-o-meter of coarse) on hardpack dirt with 1/2 inch of snow on it. i have no clue in real mph im guesing 110+
I had my 99 xc600sp doing 110 with 2 broken engine mounts at least thats that the speedo said.
to me its not the top speed that matters. its how fast it gets there [:D][:D][:D]

[br]blade snowmobile's will do 120. i guess you guys dont know what blade sleds are but if ou guys knew what they are you would know the do 120. fivehundred's will do 110 without studs. studs slow the sled way down.
I went to their web site since I have not looked at it lately - but like I remember they only build 700 & 800 cc sleds so how did you see this 600 that will do 120 mph??? Additionally look at the HP rating for the 700 & 800. I am not sure that 800 will break 120 on the dream O meter......So who does not know what??[8D]

I believe that add is also taken from 1998...?

On the speedo maybe, a stock 02 xc 500 has 22T/40T gears "1.818GR" Im pretty sure you wont be seeing 110mph with that ratio. Most stock 600s will have a hard time hitting 110 as they are usually geared to go around 105mph give or take a few in stock form.
My dad's '01 ZRT 600 had the needle burried at 110 and I was right on his tail with my 89 Exciter 570
i had my xlt speedo read a very little over 110mph on the lake, prob. could of got a few more mph's out of it, but the rpm's were screaming alittle to long to get to 110mph. Just because your speedo reads 110 doesn't mean your going that fast. I don't know how ture it is, but i heard that depending on what the snow is like on avg. you deduct about 20 mph for track slip to the ground.
120mph (speedo) on my 2000 600xcsp (no mods). Speedos may be off but they are gonna all be off by the same amount cause they basically all work the same. Cable driven or pulses from the engine.
120 mph may be unrealistic but I know that 600 in the Gen2 is tough to beat for any 600.
Joe.. I will never sell my Gen II, it's a slot car w/ some serious top end! a real BULLET!
Well said,
I use to kill my father's Viper in top end. He re-clutched it to rev to 8800-9000 I forget, and now we trade off for top end. Did I mention my Gen2 has 10,000 miles with no engine work, 1 clutch rebuild, and 2 belts. Yep, that xcsp600 has surprised many a sled, including a ZL800, 700edge, 600 Rev, F6, etc.
I was thinking which sled to sell this year, my XCR800 or 600xcsp.
What do u think?

I wouldn't sell either.. but if I had to choose then I would go with the 6, no replacement for displacement w/ the XCR! That's only if your going to go with the new Pol 600 HO.. It will be the sled of the year! If not then close behind the APEX. Yammie has something there..
Yeah I won't have a brand new sled anytime soon. As long as my 600xcsp keeps running good. When I get any extra cash I usually buy a motorcycle. Cause you really only need one sled but having alot of bikes if fun. The one thing I definitely like better on the XCR was the longer seat (I'm 6'2") I might get one for my xcsp to give more room. However the xcsp has more padding. Decisions argh

i have a 1999 500XCSP and it will keep right up with my uncle's 600XCSP.And his sled will do well over 110.shoot, my XCF 440 fan cooled will smoke the both of them in the trails only because it has 8" carbides, and picks.

PS. my 500 XCSP is without picks.
our 98 srx600 got 109 on the gun a couple years back on hardack and might have been able to get 1-3 more mph on ice. The 600 triples flew nd this one is dead stock. They move!
how fast is your 600cc sled?
Along side of a fully blown Yamaha 700 triple triple on lake Simcoe 147 km he ever so slowly pulled away barely.
Opps that's mph not km

I've got a 2000 Zr 600 carb w/ stock pipe and Black Magic can, studded stock track. I've had it past 100.[That as far as it reads] I've had the needle straight down on the speedo so I'm thinking about 120. Fast enough to make my eyes water in a full face helmet!!!
