[blue][/blue]i have an older yamaha 340, not sure what uear it is, either in the 70's or 80's...i started it up today and took it for a rip..it has a pretty bad hesitation[:(]..my throttle cable is pretty worn..could it be because of that??if not how do i get rid of the hesitation?? if u have any ideas could u let me know..thanx!

by hesitation do u mean that when u give it some gas it takes a sec to respond? ir so i would start fixing that problem by cleaning out the carbs espicailly the jets and yes replace teh cable but i don't think thats the cause of the problem. sounds like it is bogging.

yep thats what i mean..but it takes a couple of seconds to respond...i cleaned the carb out before i started it this year..i didnt clean the jets though cuz im not sure how to set them..
