I thought I posted this already, but couldn't find it.
Anyway, check out this site for the ID snow conditions.

My bad. Here is an updated one for north Idaho. Still got over 2' on top

It seems like 3 feet in the mountains would still be a little low for this time of year.

Trees don't make the greatest brakes.

Not really. Typically the trails get covered good but the rocks are out and you gotta watch for them. From Dec. on the riding is good and in the spring you get the really good heavy snowfalls.
