How many idler wheels are needed on the track? Mine has three on each side not including the back wheel seems like quiet a few. Looking at the pics on here and the videos I noticed most people run 1/2 is this what I should run?

Idlers wheels are to help keep your track running as freely as possible. Trail sleds usually have more since they spend a lot of times in low snow conditions. This saves wear on your hyfax. Sleds made for deeper snow usually dont have as many since they can stay cool easily in powder.

You can remove some of them but make sure to monitor hyfax wear. Normally you want one right before the bend in the rail. You could also drill holes in the hyfax to help keep them cooler. Ice gets in the hole and when it gets warm it cools the hyfax. Heres a great writeup on this . http://www.arcticchat.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=8780&hl=drilling+hyfax
