hey, i was thinking, the track behind my sled looked funny, so i pulled up the skis, right side, ok, left side there was no skeg, i don tunderstand what happend, i must have hit somthing and it got ripped off i guess, thers nothing therea t all, shoudl I not operate with out a skeg? will it effect the stability of the ski, id rather wait adn replace the skeg rather than destroy an expensive ski.

The skegs first job is to save the ski second it to help the ski bite into the ground. I would not run without one.

I use Woodys brand and have not had any problems with them.

if its on the left there might of been a chance u were ridin or someone was ridin on the sid of the rode goin with trafic and the left ski was ridin on the pavement just my guess

you cannot run with out some kit od wear bar on the ski because they have if they are plastic skies with mounting brackets they have 2 purposes, stearing and holding the ski together.
