i saw wisco has 432 pistons for indy 400 i was wondering if all half to do is bore it out to 432
or does the head need worked over too. has any one done this.
if you bore it all the way out and then blow it up, now youre looking for a set of cylinders. gonna be such minimal gains from boring it that its not worth it.
you can bolt on the 500 topend and basically go, but i THINK the 400s ran 34mm carbs and the 500 uses 38?
but yes this is a much safer easier cheaper way to go. still dont know if cost would be worth the amount of gained performance.
i would put a 500 in it, but i race it in lemans type lake race and it's should look stock to complie with the rules. i've heard of guys putting 500 in and then getting the head redone to say 400.
