I am in the process of rebuilding the top end of my Indy 500. The Cometic base gasket ripped while putting the cylinder on. I really don't want to buy another gasket set for $50 because all I need is the base gasket. I found a SPI top end set for around $30 shipped. I priced a Polaris base gasket for roughly $35. The SPI set has the head gasket to, so I would have a spare. What I would like to know, what is the quality of the SPI gaskets. Will they last, or should I just go and get the Polaris base gasket.

Thanks
