Alright my friend has A 1992 indy 500 after we drive like a hour the radiator cap blows off. I know it could be bad o rings but what else could it be I don't think its overheating because the temp light descent come on.

chances are it's overheating, i wouldn't trust the light.

one thing to check is the coolant filter (if it has one).
if it is plugged, it will overheat.
the filter is thge same as the oil injection
filter (if it is original) but, can be changed
to the new larger clear filter.

Is the cap damaged at all? Loose fit? Maybe wrong cap. On the Indy's the cap is not on a plastic reservoir (at least mine aren't) so it shouldn't blow off.
