I have a 1988 indy trail 488, i have a problem I'm guessing with my chain. When I start my sled the secondary clutch and the belt spins, which is unusual, I assume something is broken in my chain case whch is allowing it to spin freely. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to check out? Thnaks...

Just take your chaincase cover off and take a look.
Won't take long and if it's the problem it's ready for ya to fix.

If your secondary spins, but the track doesn't, then yes, you've got something broke. Could be a broken chain, or the jackshaft could have sheered off. If the brake rotor turns when the secondary does, then the jackshaft should be fine. Pull the cover off and check things out. If the chain is broke, it can sometimes cause collateral damage. If you need more info, just ask. -Polaris Doc
