A buddy of mine rides one and loves it. He bought it new and stock, said he had it up to 115mph on a hard packed lake (according to the speedometer). Then the next year he put a clutch kit 144 studs, 10in carbides and a silencer on it. Those mods took a little away from the top end, but gave him a great hole shot and mid range. Great sled!
Take 1 layer out of head gasket, reed spacers, and get the clutching dialed in and these sleds rock.If you have any questions just ask .
I take it some on here either don't like triples or don't like yamahahahaha.later rpm
rpmsrx, that same thing applies to the MM sleds too right? Basically the same motor. do the chassis' differ much?

sure he can. I had a Ski Doo once and they are my least favorite company. Personal experience is the best way to breed hatred :)
LOL

Ok, I shouldn't have written yamahaha, and I fixed it.

I haven't bashed anything. I said it was another Yamaha triple. I am not a fan of triples. Just so you know my first sled ever was a yamaha. I have no problem with them.

No problem with yamaha, not a big fan of triples though.

I do believe that you are thinking touché

Trees don't make the greatest brakes...
The triple pipes should actually make it work better. Usually the hotter the exhaust pipe, the better the performance.

ok I was just wondering cause I thought I had heard of triple pipes causing heat problems on the Viper and XLT
Could be, I know when I got my sled, the pipe was not insulated, and I was advised to insulate it, so I did and my performance went up. But maybe the triple pipes on sleds like ZRT, SXR, XLT, STORM or whatever causes problems. I haven't heard of anything though.

Hot exhaust pipe temps are good. It has to stay at a real good even temp.
