Was wondering if anyone on here lives along, or has recently traveled on, the Iron Dog route (Big Lake to Nome to Fairbanks, Alaska).

I'm looking to find out snow conditions and trail conditions along the trail.

Figured it would be kinda nice to know what I have to look forward to. [:)]

It's 40 degrees right now so might be minus the cold part!

What's your team number, so I can follow your progress? There's a local Paul Dick running it with his son Brian Dick. Paul's been racing for like 40 years, and his son is on team Arctic and runs USCC. Paul AKA Zoner ran Cain's quest with Tucker Hibbert's uncle Rex Hibbert, I think 3 years with top 5's each time. Good Luck to you!!!

Sweet good luck Stacyak. Pro Team 3 I will be following.
Thanks :)

Team #8 is my older brother (Tyson)

Well... 2 feet of new snow at Finger Lake, 8 inches in Skwentna, the start at Big Lake is currently under water and it's above freezing along most of the trail.

Should be a fantastic and miserable 1100 miles.... (and I will LOVE every mile of it!) :)

Good luck!!

Gonna be an interesting year for snow conditions, I'd bet!

One of these years I'm gonna run the trail class if I can find some friends who are crazy enough to ride with me!! [;)]

I'll be watching the start.[thumb]
