Hello, I have a 1975 el tigre engine with dual carbs and 4 spark plugs. I am wanting to know what is the size of the main jet? (stock) There was a 360 in it, then I called my local arctic cat dealer and they told me that there was supposed to be a 460 in it. I thought that was a large jump to go so I went with a 390, but it runs worse. What size is realy supposed to be in it. hopefully less than a 360.
Thanks

Hi there,
Your dealer was correct. 460 was the stock main jet. The manufactures run sleds rich to prevent warranty claims. 10 sizes leaner seems a little too lean. 3-4 sizes leaner is usually about right. Where do you live and your altitude. You're able to normally lean out 1 size for every 2000 ft above sea level. Try alpha-sports.com when you want to find stock parts and specs. They have a awesome online catalog for Arctic Cat sleds from 67-07. I use it all the time.
