I have an arctic cat 340 fan engine. It says 'arctic cat spirit' on the shroud and looks fairly old. I am helping someone put it on a go-cart and having trouble getting it to idle well. I have determined that the problem is in the carb, and need some info on what is likely the proper carb and baseline jetting for this engine. The carb is a 34mm mikuni, and im not sure if its the stock carb or not. Any help would be appreciated.

It just isnt firing evenly. You can hear it combust unevenly and its not smooth. I tried playing with the air screw but it had no effect. I already cleaned the carb and the needle/seat is working and pilot jet is cleaned out. If you pour gas in the cylinders it will run smoothly until it burns all the gas. Because of this I concluded that it was the carb. The fuel pump is working good... but it is off a skidoo citation, which shouldnt make much difference, as it just pumps the gas- doesnt control how much goes in. Thanks for any help!
