I know the reasons to jet and what it is, and what it does, but when you pipe a sled do you just change the main jets? or all three? and why are some sleds jetted 195 200 and some are 440 430? differnt carbs?
depends on the pipe(s) you put on, some are a performance pipe, gain power through all phases. some are a topend pipe(s). generally you have to jet up accordingly.usually the pipe maufacturer gives you the jetting specs for the pipe. and yes the different jet sizes are for different size carbs. for instance i run a 280 main on my trail 600 triple with stock carbs but run 370 mains on my race 600 triple, carbs are a bit bigger.
