I was installing new needles in the crbies last night and one of my slides had a little pitting on the outside face (polished face). Is this going to affect performance? What do you guys think would cause this? There's no obvious signs of corrosion. I fog the carbs each time i store the sled for the season.

Anyone ever buy new sleds for a Keihin? What would they cost?

As long as they go up and down in the carb alright they should be fine. All the air and fuel passes under the slide not around it so performance should not be affected. Must have gotten some dirt or something between the slide and the carb body at some time is all I can think of.
