On my '90 I have a key-way for the rotor. It was really sloppy last year so I replaced the rotor and key. Well it's sloppy again with very few miles on it. My question is, has anyone ever had this key shear off? I thought it was a stupid Idea to use a key-way on a brake rotor to begin with. I know I've broken my fair share of keys in my day. It would really suck to hit the brake and nothing is there. I would like to get a '92 or newer jack shaft and rotor that is splined but this will have to do for now. Just wondering. Thanks.

I had the same problem but it was the jackshaft. The key would wiggle almost. 0.100 of an inch. The brake rotor was fine.
If you put in a different jackshaft get a newer one that is
splined and a splined rotor. Not sure what year have to check.
