has anyone ever seen this happen to a clutch befor?
me tim and chuch are unshre of what is making it look like this . the side that is looking bad is new and the sied that looks good is the old one . and the one we replaced looked the same way but worse. i only have 100
miles on this

never mind i found the problum the belt had a pice of metal in it and was fu#$%^& up the clutch. do you all think it could be cleaned up an it would be ok ?

maybe I'm not right but as you said you change one of the sheave of the clutch. You should not. The clutch sheaves are balanced together and not interchangeable.

I wouldn't worry about it at all. A lot of guys run fine sand paper on the insides of their primary so it grabs better.

changing the clutch sheaves is OK. it wont hurt anything as long as you match up th balance points .i had it resurfaced today and all is good .
