Maintenance Tip

I recently changed the chain case lubricant on my 1997 Indy Ultra. When I attemped to remove the drain plug (drip pan in place I might add) it seemed "frozen" To resolve this problem I gave it a shot of liquid wrench, let it sit for about 2 minutes, inserted the 3/16th allen wrench and gave it a few taps with a small ballpeen hammer. . . I said "tap" not pound. . .
after which it broke loose. To gain a little more tork on the allen wrench, I put a "box" end wrench over the long leg of the allen wrench (an old trick from my Dad). This must be performed with care so as not to "round" the hex socket on the drain plug.
