I am thinking of turning this 1983-5 Yamaha Enticer LT into a drag sled. It has the track, the suspension, the skis, handlebars, broken speedo, no seat, body has no rust, has gas tank, and secondary clutch (the one that spreads apart) and the crankcase.

We are thinking we could drop a bigger motor in it, as it has no motor rite now, and use it for grass drag. Or even possibly asphault drag, as well drive it in the winter too. Now we dont have alot of money, but we have some parts, such as skis, handlebars, and a couple of motors that we could possibly get to drop in. Could anyone tell us if this would be worth it? We're not looking for a quick fix but to "slowly" work on it over the summer. AS i said we dont have alot of money but were wondering if we could put a new motor in it. Anyone know what motors would fit on these motor mounts without any work? .Any ideas, suggestions would be greatly apprciated!! Also, do ski-doo motors have the same motor mounts? What would fit into it??

Would a 485 phazer engine go in it??

Thanks for the help.

You should be able to fit any motor into it but it will take some fabracation to the motor mounts..If you are putting a stock fan cooled motor into it it wont be real fast but it culd still be fun..

One thing to remember is if you plan to race that sled at any races that follow the ISR rules you had better get a rule book and check it out before you put time and money into a sled and find out you can only race it at the local barn yard races. Something to think about. Riley
