Here are some shots of my 800, the only thing missing is the white stuff.

Nice sled.I picked up a 02 ZL 600 SS Labor Day weekend. Can't wait to ride it.
I couldn't wait any longer either, I put a set of Vforce reeds and a D&D power breather on it, I just had to see how it ran. Made a couple of high speed passes through the back yard.

Darn that grass looks awfully inviteing. Just wet it down and drag it man. Nice sled too. Do you think the neighbors will mind cause I am on my way.

You should love the SS. That suspension is supposed to be great. I probably would have got the 800SS if it was available last year. What color did you get?

WRYJOKER, I'm the only person in the neighborhood with 3 sleds and an 1/8 mile oval in the back yard and my lawn still looks better than anyone elses. I just have more work to do in the spring to repair the fun my kids and I have had the winter before.

Good choice Zlrider, that burnt orange color just doesn't look right on a Cat.

You must do a lot of running where it is real icy. That is one serious looking track studding job you've done.
Nice looking sled bet its fast too.

TCMC, Not alot of icy riding, It's just set up for moderately aggressive trail riding. By matching the number of studs to the HP and the length of the carbides to the number of studs the thing handles like it's on rails as I'm flying along the trails.

Unfortunately my sled is not looking this nice today. I decided to travel 3 1/2 hours to the Coloma MI area Sunday for a day of riding. I brought a friend with and my old ElTigre for him to ride. We hit the trails about 4 PM, lots of snow very bumpy trails. I have never been to this area of MI so I was unfamiliar with the trails. About 30 miles into the ride I thought I was approaching a straight area of the trail so I got into the throttle a bit then I saw the sign for a right turn ahead and knew that I could'nt make the turnso I kept going straight. It was snowing pretty hard and I could'nt see anything but white. At about 30 mph the bottom dropped out! I dropped into a 6 foot deep creek bed, the sled stopped immediately, I didn't, I flew over the handlebars and through my brand new windshield and into a mud bank. I'm a little bruised, my sled is a little more than bruised. Right front A arms need to be replaced, plastic ski actually bent up and hit the ski spindle, so the ski is bent up, the hood is'nt lining up right and I either need to put the old stock windshield back on or replace it again. I rode4 the sled for another 70 miles after that, it still seems to handle fine even with 1 ski sitting back 3 inches further than than other.
This sucks!
I guess that I should look at the bright side, at least I was able to walk away. It's hard to think that way with my sled not being in mint condition any longer.
I forgot to mention I did'nt have full coverage insurance on it, I was going to call my agent Wednesday to get it covered. That is double shot of operator error.

DOH!

Beware of landowners wielding snowshovels!
Ouch! That has to suck. Glad to hear that you are ok though. Sleds can be fixed.

It was a nice looking sled. Curious to see what it looks like now. Lucky your alive. As far as the burnt orange ZL SS, I bought the burnt orange ZL 800 EFI SS in November and I pesonally love the unique look. I'm an Arctic Cat man but tired of all the green! I didn't stud it and I think I'm going to have to - a little "undertracked" for the hp. The SS is sweet!
