i have been skiing for like...forever...on this flat country got a couple of ski areas in the holes we got around here. Usually hit the mountains once a year if were lucky, getting less and less as rising prices. Im the only sledder in the family so we gotaa ski, i tried to board once, never been that sore and tired in my whole life.....that was a tuf day, about the same feeling of falling off ur sled doin bout 50, not hurting anyone part real bad, just got thrown around bad so everything hurts....i slept better that night after iboarded, then i ever have....was fun tho, kinda mad cuz i thot it would be easy and wasnt and i wasted one of my 3 days of skiing the big hills on snowboarding down the kiddie hill...oh well...lifes lesson learned.....
Ready to Ride...NEED SNOW!!!!!!...if you have snow, i hate you...
Yeah, i have taken people with me snowboarding for their first time too and they are dead tired after it but always have a good time. It just takes some getting used to, I skied for about 3 years and then switched to snowboarding with some friends, picked up on it pretty fast but it does take some getting used to. It's a lot of fun, I have been snowboarding for 4 years now and this is basically my 3rd year snowmobiling. Anyway.....one day I combined them, pulled me on my snowboard behind a snowmobile...wow!....wow, it was really fun but pretty wild!!
I would like to try that! sounds like fun but I'd hate to wipe out, I think you would start to tumble like mad. I have only been doing it for two years now and would like to get better before trying, considering that I have only been out a couple times this year. I learned here I WI on one of the best snowboarding hills in WI at Tyrol Basin. That pic was taken at Vail, it was my first time out west snowboarding. I am hooked now, I fell in love with the powder.
I have been very close to trying snowboarding this year, I just need motivation I guess. Maybe at the end of this season I will buy a board from the end of season sales.
That looks FUN!It's kind of funny, I've never tried skiing or boarding because I thought it would be too expensive a hobby. Then I got into snowmobiling.Go figure.
Iwent snowboarding for my first time a bit ago. Hehe it was fun I was ramping that day. To bad I couldnt get up the tabletop ramps. Got carving down tho, not a good feelin goin 40mph and try to carve and catch a edge and *poof* all u see is snow.
I don't have anything like that myself but a friend has a nice skiboat. We are going to spend the week after the 4th of July up in Eagle River, WI on the lake skiing, wakeboarding, and kneeboarding. Should be a blast play all day and party all night.
wakeboarding is my bag. i've never done it, but i can already say wakeboarding behind a jet ski would suck. no wake to jump! anyway, this year i think my uncle is going to build a tower so we can catch even more air, and hopefully we get some videos made too. i'd like to try snowboarding, looks like fun. little tip for those newcomers to wakeboarding. eyepeeler- when the board catches broadside and you go down rather hard. it isn't that bad.....really
last year we had score cards made for falls. the person in the boat always gave a 10 when they could hear the fall.
