Went riding last weekend and while getting a sled unstuck noticed the handlebars were moving WAY too much. Looked at the steering post and saw that welds on both sides of the plate were breaking. I'll try to post pics tonight, but should I cut the plate off and make a thicker one, OR just fill in the cracks and re-weld all the way around??[?]

I should probably look into that, I haven't replaced that bushing since I bought the sled. It's got a good 1/16" play going from side to side. Thanks
